Mississauga to take advantage of gift-wrapping fundraiser

Mississauga’s Riverwood Conservancy helps to connect community members with nature, and it will soon be offering a service that may be very welcome for harried gift buyers.

The group will be manning a gift-wrapping station at Erin Mills Town Centre, and it will be open throughout the month of December, up until Christmas Eve. To help make the fundraiser a success, many helping hands will be needed, and the organizers are hoping there will be lots of volunteers eager to get involved.

Volunteers will need to be at least 14 years of age, and there will be various shifts on offer. For every gift wrapped, $5 will be donated to the Conservancy to help fund its programming and other initiatives. Funds will also be used for trail and site maintenance. The wrapping station will be set up on the mall's lower level.

Offering a service like gift wrapping may benefit both a not-for-profit group and the public, and a poster printing company will have a lot of ways to help get the word out about such an event. These marketing materials may be placed in prominent locations, while smaller versions can be tucked into Shopping Bags.

The Riverwood Conservancy will be manning the wrapping station at various times from December 1st to December 24th. More details about the schedule and how the funds raised will be utilized is available on its website.
