Mississauga to bird with an expert

Mississauga birders who would like to take their skills to the next level may want to save some space in September for an outing that will be led by a local expert.

The Riverwood Conservancy has invited its members and non-members alike to be part of an early morning birding walk that will visit its grounds.

The guide for this birding experience will be Luc Fazio. The walk will be at a moderate pace, and Fazio will point out different species and offer identification tips along the way. There will be some hills, and sturdy walking shoes are advised. Everyone is reminded to bring along their binoculars, and it will be rain-or-shine activity. While The Riverwood Conservancy members may participate free of charge, non-member will be charged $5.00 each.

Joining with others who enjoy a particular pastime can make it even more fun. A flyer printing company can offer a selection of inexpensive marketing materials, which may be a good fit for a not-for-profit group.

The Birding with the Expert walk is scheduled for September 13th. Everyone who registers is asked to arrive by no later than 8:30 am sharp, and they will meet up at 4150 Riverwood Park Lane. The walk will wrap up at around 10:00 am, though it could exceed this time. Dogs are not permitted at the venue.
