Mississauga hosts first responders' mental health conference

When it comes to first responders' mental health, Ontario is dedicated to providing support, which is being showcased at an upcoming conference.

Insight Health Solutions is a division of Trillium Health Partners that provides disability management services to Ontario residents. It will soon host the Ontario First Responders' Mental Health Conference in partnership with Wounded Warriors Canada, which provides mental health services for Canadian first responders, veterans, and their families.

This two-day conference will bring together healthcare professionals, first responders, leaders, first responder organizations and union representatives and more to discuss what steps need to be taken to support first responders' mental health.

The conference will start with a half-day workshop on bridging the gap between the research and operational worlds to ensure the research on first responders' mental health has the most impact. Attendees will then be welcomed to participate in a social event before day two starts with a full schedule with presentations and workshops featuring industry-renowned researchers such as Dr. Nick Carleton, along with first responders and their family members.

Conferences like this are often filled with information, so speakers or event hosts often summarize their key takeaways and recommended next steps and share them with attendees utilizing tools like brochure printing to produce the materials.

The Ontario First Responders' Mental Health Conference will occur on April 1st and 2nd at The International Centre, located at 6900 Airport Rd, Mississauga. Space is limited, and tickets should be reserved in advance through the event website.
