HP Launches Blog Challenges as New Business to Business Marketing Strategy

Those looking at targeting new clients and promoting their printing services can look to HP Canada for some insight into promoting high tech printing products to small businesses using online challenges and regular blogging. Hewlett Packard, a market that provides printing products that many printing services companies use, is based in Mississauga, ON and has joined forces with Sprouter, an online business resource.

The marketing campaign, which consists of biweekly printing challenges amongst six small businesses, allow competitors to experiment and use HP printers, in particular the Officejet Pro 8500A, and then blog about their experiences on the Sprouter website and other social media pages. Competitors are encouraged to use HP products themselves and see the benefits on their own, and then provide authentic testimonials about their usage. The winner of the challenge, which involves cost effective ways to create professional marketing materials and reduce paper waste, will be awarded an HP prize pack.

While creating online challenges among prospective clients may not be an effective business strategy for smaller printers who wish to expand their clientele, business to business marketing initiatives can be especially effective. Many businesses nowadays are encouraged to take advantage of social networking platforms and post regular updates about new technologies and services.

Many suppliers of printing technology, like HP in Mississauga, actively and creatively market products and services that can showcase the technology’s capabilities. Printing services companies seek out ways to showcase their own services in ways that closely relate to their target audiences’ needs.
