Christmas gift shopping comes to Mississauga

The International Centre in Malton Mississauga decided to greet holiday shoppers early this year, with the Toronto Gift Show being held at the International Centre in Mississauga this August. More than 16,000 early bird deal shoppers attended the trade show, which comes to Mississauga every summer and closed shop for this year on Wednesday, August 22.

With more than 1,000 exhibitors on site from all across the country, there were plenty of opportunities for local Print companies to advertise new merchandise in more than one million square feet of space at the centre. Exhibitors included Mississauga based companies that sell Christmas and holiday ornaments, clothing, trees, and toys. Non-seasonal items were also widely sold at the show as well. Many of the vendors are local artisans who handcraft their own products and promote locally and most of the exhibitors were accepting December pre-orders.

Events like the Toronto Gift Show have many opportunities for local companies to reach large audiences, like Mississauga based luxury home furnishings company Turquoise Palace that created its wares in India and now sells in the GTA. Trade shows also present opportunities for Print companies to become involved in advertising at large trade shows. Banner printing of various exhibitors, business card printing, and Posters are examples of some services printers can lend to exhibitors at the show, to help promote vendor inventory.

The International Centre in Malton holds many trade shows and events throughout the year, with plenty of advertising opportunities for local Print companies.
