Maple season kicks off in London North

The Maple Heritage Festival will be returning to London North this March, bringing the community together to highlight one of Canada’s signature tastes and much more.

The event is hosted by the Museum of Ontario Archaeology and will feature a live maple tapping and other demonstrations showcasing the harvesting of fresh maple. Visitors can also sample maple food such as syrup and candy alongside other treats and products offered by local vendors. The festival will also include artists and educational presenters focused on the heritage of the London North area and Ontario more generally.

The Heritage Festival will also include a Sweet Water Blessing drawn from local Indigenous cultures. This year’s event will see the return of the local vendor space, which features area artisans, community organizations, and merchants offering handmade items. Vendors at community events like this often use Business Cards or other handouts to make permanent connections with customers.

This festival, timed to coincide with the seasonal maple sap run, is aimed at a family audience, with discount rates available for children, students, seniors, and groups up to 5. Visitors can also explore the Museum’s exhibits, including an Augmented Reality experience and the Lawson Archaeological Site, home to the remnants of a large village.

The 2026 Maple Heritage Festival will take place at the Museum of Ontario Archaeology in London North on March 14.
