The Hyland Cinema will be holding a special screening of the documentary “Somewhere Along The Way” this April, accompanied by a live concert.
The new film details one of the world’s most famous walking routes and a traditional pilgrimage trail, the Camino de Santiago in Spain. The documentary, directed by Canadian filmmaker Simon Burn, follows Australian broadcaster and musician Dan Mullins as he walks the 320-kilometre path. Promotional material emphasizes the film’s natural landscapes:
“Filmed across the breathtaking landscapes of Northern Spain, Somewhere Along The Way is more than a travel film. It’s an emotional exploration of why thousands of people from around the world walk the Camino each year, seeking purpose, peace, and personal transformation.”
The event will also feature a live musical performance by Mullins, whose song “Somewhere Along the Way” was written as an anthem for walkers of the Camino. Mullins also wrote an album about his experiences on the trail, “Pilgrim”, and hosts a podcast on the subject. Mullins will also take part in a question-and-answer session with audience members after the film.
Screening events like this often use poster printing for advertisement and include live performances to help entice viewers to the theatre. The London screening of “Somewhere Along the Way” will take place at the Hyland Cinema on the evening of April 12.
