The Santa Claus Parade is taking place in Cambridge this weekend. The floats will travel down Hespler Road from Dunbar Road to Langs Drive.
All of the event’s participants were chosen early and the spaces were filled up by the start of October. Those taking part will include community marching bands, local non-profit organizations, and Cambridge businesses.
Floats are expected to be decorated to fit in with the seasonal theme, the only condition being that none feature Santa Claus himself as he will be following behind on his own official float.
Since the parade is taking place at night, it is suggested that all float designs feature lights and generators. The participants will be judged at various spots along the parade route and awards will be sent to the winners, with several category prizes up for grabs.
Food and cash donations will also be accepted and are set to be passed on to several charities in the city. For those who can't attend, the festivities will also be televised.
Those taking part might decide to invest in services from Cambridge printing companies to help them decorate their floats appropriately. This could mean purchasing colorful Banners to let everyone know how it fits in with the theme or Posters to decorate any structures on the float. Flyers may also be used to build publicity around the area.
