Langdon Hall, with its Victorian gardens and architecture, has long been a fixture in the Cambridge area and it is about to become even larger
A new wing, which will be by the lower garden, is expected to cost around $7 million dollars, and will include eight new rooms, an onsite spa, and a hall for hosing weddings, meetings, and other special events. It has been designed to fit in with the Victorian ambience enjoyed by the rest of the building.
The mansion was built back at the turn of the 19th Century by New York’s wealthy Astor family. In 1987, it was purchased by Mary Beaton and Bill Bennett, who repurposed it as a high-class manor house hotel.
The hotel is expected to have the improvements completed by next October. In the meantime, it is still open and available for overnight or longer stays, gourmet meals, afternoon and wedding teas, and a wide range of other activities.
Those interested in finding out more are invited to visit the hotel’s website.
