Cambridge venue hosts mill race

The Cambridge community is known for its competitive spirit, and this will be showcased at an upcoming race.

Riverbluffs Park is located in the Southwest Parks district. It is open to nature trails, floral displays, and river access, and it will also be the starting point for the upcoming Cambridge Mill Race.

The Cambridge Mill Race puts participants to the test with two unique races depending on their age. The 1 km Chipmunk Chase is designed for children ages 1 to 12 and is an out-and-back race that can be run with parental supervision if needed, and is not timed. Participants of the Chipmunk Chase will receive a Cambridge Mill Race medal.

There is also an 8 km race for older participants; the race will take place along the Walter Bean trail and is a timed event with awards given to the fastest racers. Participants can also win registration draw prizes, which can be picked up with their race kits. After the race, event participants will be able to enjoy a post-race lunch from the Cambridge Mill; there will also be an opportunity to receive a post-race massage.

Race coordination requires a lot of logistics, especially when participants must turn around at the halfway mark. Banner printing can help make it clear where different stations are and what participants need to do.

The Cambridge Mill Race will take place on June 8, 2025, at Riverbluffs Park, 251 George Street N, Cambridge. The event website has additional information, including how to register.
