Quilting is a hobby that combines practicality with artistic flair, and the Cambridge area is about to be treated to an event that will put these works of art front and centre.
The Busy Hands Quilt Guild recently announced that it will be hosting its Our Love of Fabric Quilt Show, which will showcase the talents of local quilters. It will be a two-day celebration, and is scheduled to take place at 361 King Street East.
The show will display at least 200 quilts, many of which will be sewn by the host club’s membership. Anyone who would like to purchase some new quilting or other craft supplies can spend some time browsing in the vendor area, and prizes will be awarded to the top entries. The venue is fully accessible and offers free parking, and tour buses are welcome.
Along with an opportunity to view the projects on display and do some shopping, the attendees will be able to purchase food onsite. A spool pull is also in the works, and the first 200 through the door will receive special Promotional Products to thank them for their support.
This chance to view the talents of area crafters is set to kick off on September 29th at 10:00 am. Its doors will open at the same time the next day, and admission is $8.00 at the door.
