Doulas offer a range of services to women who are pregnant, giving birth or in the post-partum period, and a course will give Cambridge residents interested in taking up the profession information and tools they will be able to use to meet the needs of their clients.
The classes, which will be intensive and spread out over three days, will provide a deep dive into the topic. The organizers explained that it will give new doulas the knowledge they need to hit the ground running, and also noted it may be an emotional experience.
The classes will introduce a variety of topics, including the history of the profession, anatomy, nutrition and other aspects of prenatal care. They will discuss labour and delivery, comfort measures, post-partum mental health and many other areas. The business side of the story will also be included, and the group will review liability, insurance networking and many other aspects of the career.
One of the topics that will be on the agenda will be marketing a business, and this is an area where Print shops will be able to help. They can supply professionals in any field with Business Cards and many other printed materials, and these can all be effective promotional tools.
This doula training will run from November 6th until November 8th. The fee to take part is $597 and it is scheduled to be held at 1721 Bishop Street North in Cambridge.Get a Free Quote for Business Cards Get a Free Quote for Print
