Cambridge families who would like to give their child a chance to spend some time with Santa but cannot due to sensory issues in their son or daughter may find that a local event will give them an opportunity to meet the Big Guy in Red in person.
During Sensitive Santa, kids with autism or other sensory processing issues can pay him a visit in a setting suitable for them. It is reserved for children who have emotional, behavioral or social challenges and their families, and advance registration is required.
Each child that take part will be able to visit with Santa, and he will have received some special training just for the event. Keepsake photos will be taken for each family, and these are being offered on a complementary basis.
