The Cambridge Rotary Club recently held its annual Rib Fest.
The event was a huge success last year, attracting over 23,000 people, and organizers hoped that this year’s function would prove to be just as big a hit.
The festival took place over three days, and featured everything barbecue. In addition to the grilled offerings, there were 13 food trucks and a beer tent, where those who attended could sit down and enjoy a cold drink with their friends.
Along with all the culinary offerings, there was live entertainment and activities for the kids, such as a bouncy castle and costumed characters performing on the stage. A craft market was set up for the public to browse through. A banner printing firm can create decorations and Signs that are ideal for such an event using materials that can withstand being out in the elements such as the hot sun or rain.
Mark Rozard, who helped to organize the event, noted that the plan was for the festival to be a family friendly one, with something to appeal to all ages. There was no charge for admission, with the price for a full rack of the ribs set at $22.00.
The Ribfest is a major source of funding for the Rotarians, who use the money they collect to assist them in their charitable activities throughout the community.
