Cambridge rock tribute to support charity
The Roktoberfest concert will be returning to Cambridge for a third year this October, bringing together rock tribute acts to raise money for a good cause.
The show will feature a line-up of five tribute bands, including Led By Zeppelin and Mostly Hip, and tributes to Chris Cornell, Pearl Jam and the Foo Fighters. The bands will play on a single stage and ticket, creating a one-night tour of rock history from the 1970s to the present day. The concert is also designed to coincide with the Tri-Cities’ well-known celebrations of Oktoberfest. Food and drink will be available for purchase at the venue.
Proceeds from the concert’s ticket sales, as with the two previous editions of Roktoberfest will go towards The Lisaard House, which provides palliative and hospice care for terminally ill individuals, as well as support for their families. The organization also provides social work, music therapy and bereavement support.
The show is promoted by the Cambridge Newfoundland Club, with the goal of attracting rock fans from across the Tri-Cities area. Whether charitable or just entertaining, concerts often use poster printing and radio advertising to help connect with local music fans. There will also be vendors selected from the local community at the festival.
The 2025 installment of Roktoberfest will take place on the evening of October 4 at the Cambridge Newfoundland Club building.
