The Domestic Violence Review Team of Waterloo Regions is offering a lunch and learn event for those who work with domestic violence victims.
During the Cambridge session, the organizer will be providing an introduction to the Mobile Tracking System (MTS), which is one of the tools that can be helpful in monitoring individuals who may be at risk. They will also find out how it is used as part of a larger approach to the issue of domestic violence.
The group will see a MTS device up close, and they will also learn how it is used as part of the program administered by Victims Services of Waterloo Region. They will also find out what steps are taken by law enforcement should an alarm come in and how a victim can be referred to the program.
