Cambridge hosts Afternoon Scottish Garden Concert

There will be some catchy feet-tapping music and resulting good times coming to the city of Cambridge this summer. During the waning of the dog days of summer, residents and visitors can enjoy rich cultural music and some rewarding socializing.

Born from the apt suggestion that the city would be a great venue for Scottish music, a group of musicians from the Cambridge and Kitchener areas got together in 2016 to form the Cambridge Scottish Session Fiddlers in order to share their love of tunes from Scotland with local audiences. After a brief COVID era-related interlude, the Fiddlers returned and have continued to provide quality entertainment since then. They perform a wide selection of Scottish music from Scotland as well as other locales having deep Scottish roots, with some songs going back hundreds of years.

The Cambridge Scottish Session Fiddlers will next perform at the Afternoon Garden Concert featuring at the McDougall Cottage Historic Site (89 Grand Avenue South Cambridge, Ontario N1S 2L7). Attendees can enjoy the light refreshments while mingling with like-minded souls. At concerts like this, many fans and attendees often show their support with graphic design shirts and posters that will make the day even more memorable and fun for all.

The event takes place on Sunday, August 24, 2025, from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm EDT. It is best to beat the rush by purchasing Advance tickets at an affordable $10 (plus HST) per person. If still available, tickets on the day of the concert will be sold at the Cottage, for $13 (plus HST). For those who are Museum members, there is a 10% discount available by using "Memcode".
