Cambridge Golf Course will soon be welcoming golfers for a day of fun out on the links, and while they play, the participants will be doing a good turn.
June will see the Bereaved Families - Midwestern Region Chapter's Charity Golf Classic provide local residents with an afternoon in the fresh air, and this will be the 24th year of the function. The plan is for it to go ahead as scheduled with COVID prevention protocols in place, and the organizers hope that it will top last year's take of $11,500.
The golfers will be able to register for the function starting at 11:00am, and to help make sure everyone is socially distanced, tee times will be scheduled for 10 minutes apart. Lunch and the use of a cart is included in the ticket price, and a silent auction is in the works as well.
One of the ways a not-for-profit group can make an event like this a success is by creating sponsorship opportunities for local businesses. The Logo Design of these supporters can then be included in the marketing materials for the function, which shows the community they care.
This year’s Bereaved Families Charity Golf Classic will be taking to the course on June 5th. The final date to reserve a spot is May 28th.
