The Ontario Health and Safety Act (OHSA) includes a general duty for employers to ensure all their workers and supervisors are competent, and an upcoming workshop offers a way to make that happen.
The in-person class in Cambridge will be equipping learners with the knowledge needed to supervise others, and it meets the requirements that are set out in the provincial legislation. The course runs for two days, and the registration fee is $295.
During the sessions, the attendees will be equipped with the knowledge they need to be competent workplace supervisors, and it will include an exploration of OHSA and what it means for employers, management and employees alike. The learners will also develop competency in documentation, working with others and other soft skills, and everyone will walk away with a better understanding of their responsibilities and an increased confidence in their abilities.
