Working at a height requires special certification, and a refresher course will be on offer for Cambridge residents who would like to make sure they are up to date.
The Approved Working at Heights Refresher, which will be held at 25 Sheldon Drive in Cambridge, will be a four-hour-long learning event. Total Rescue will be supplying a qualified instructor for the class, and those who are nearing the end of their current certification may want to participate before theirs expires.
The course will cover a variety of topics, and it is aimed at those who work in construction. It will address the use of safety nets and barriers, anchor points and rescue planning. Personal fall protection equipment, work positioning systems, platforms and work access are also all on the agenda. Everyone will get some hands-on experience with the equipment, and a written test will take place as well.
Many professions require that those who work in the field obtain and maintain their certifications. Stationery printers can offer custom certificates of completion for courses such as this.
The Approved Working at Heights Refresher will be held on August 12th. It will begin at 8:30 am sharp, and those who register will need to provide their current Working at Heights certificate and bring their protective eyewear, work boots, hard hat and photo ID.
