Taking part in a training program can help workplace supervisors to hit the ground running, and one of these activities is on offer for Cambridge learners this January.
A two-day training opportunity is to be offered to the community, and it will give its students tools that may be helpful to them in a management role. Seats are also available to employers who would like to ensure their own supervisors are up to par, and it will be delivered at the BuildSafe Centre.
The syllabus for the Supervisor Basics course will explore what it means to be a competent supervisor. This will begin with an introduction to the pertinent provincial legislation, and from there, the participants will learn about the responsibilities they may be asked to take on in this role. Documentation tools, personal management and other soft tools are on the agenda, and everyone will walk away with their own copy of the new Green Book, which may be useful in their own workplace.
