The Cambridge Chamber of Commerce is to host a seminar as part of Small Business Week in October.
Small Business Week takes place every year in communities throughout Canada and this 2013’s event, which runs from October 20 – 26, will mark its 34th anniversary.
The celebration was founded by the Business Development Bank of Canada and is designed to emphasize just how important small businesses are to the economy of the country. Various chambers of commerce all over the country hold networking events, informational sessions and educational seminars for their members.
The breakfast seminar, which has been given the title Salute to Small Business: How Big Brands and Small Business can Prosper in a Connected Economy, will be led by Barry Moltz. Mr. Moltz is an expert on small businesses and the seminar is based on his book ‘Small Town Rules’. The book gives tips and hints on how businesses can take full advantage of today's technological tools to create a global small town. No doubt he will be covering the rules in full over the two hours.
This event is open to members only but other chamber events are open to the general business community.
It's possible that Cambridge printing companies have been asked to provide the hand-outs that will be distributed during the seminar.
