The annual Cambridge Studio Tour and Sale will be taking place over two days in September.
The showcase, which is a presentation of the Cambridge Centre for the Arts, will give members of the public the opportunity to see inside many artists' spaces that until now have been private.
Attendees will also get to meet the artists, discover new talent in their neighborhood and purchase pieces of art for their homes.
Some of the artists taking part in the tour include Laurie Wonfor Nolan, Kim Turner, Christina Edwards, Bill Schwarz, and Soula White. Vision Photography will also be showcasing its work.
The main idea behind the tour is that those who attend get to learn something about the process which they weren’t initially aware of. It will also be beneficial for the artists as many will be able to raise their profiles and make some money from their work.
Local companies are being encouraged to sponsor the tour and can do so for as little as $250. Any firm which does get involved in this way will receive advertisements in the event Brochures and will be mentioned in all printed tour materials. This is likely to include Postcards, A-frame Posters displayed on the streets, and a large display at the Farmers’ Market. No doubt Cambridge printing companies are helping to provide these products to the event’s organizers.
