The Cambridge and North Dumfries Community Awards ceremony is set to take place in November. It will be a presentation of the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce.
Those eligible for the prizes on offer were nominated by businesses and individuals; although individuals could also nominate themselves. All suggestions had to include a synopsis explaining why the person deserved to win the award. Finalists were then chosen by a committee.
There are 10 categories for which awards are given, including ‘Best Corporate/Non-profit/Service Club Partnership’, ‘Best Use of Social Media’, ‘Volunteer of the Year’, ‘Best Website’, and ‘Lifetime Achievement’.
The event should be a great networking opportunity for those who work to improve the community and companies in the region. It is likely that many of those from the Cambridge area who are planning on attending the awards will look into placing an order for new Business Cards with their local printing companies. They will no doubt want to be sure that the information on their cards is correct and current, that they have enough to exchange with everyone they have a chance to speak with during the evening.
The Cambridge and North Dumfries Community Awards will be taking place at the Dunfield Theatre on November 12, with doors open from 5:30-8:30pm.
