The Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo is returning to Halifax for a week in July for the 35th year. This event attracts thousands of world-class Canadian and international civilian and military bands.
In addition to performances by bands such as the Canadian Forces Massed Band, the Nova Scotia Irish Dancers, and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama Brass Band, the tattoo will also feature highland dancers, acrobats, trampolinists, and many other performers.
While tickets to the tattoo performance have an attached cost, there will also be many free community events taking place throughout the week. These are set to include workshops, a WWI historical scene, concerts, and several parades – including a huge one scheduled for Canada Day.
This popular annual event draws people from all over the Halifax area and beyond. Local printing companies may have been asked to provide services and help spread the word.
The Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo will take place at the Halifax Metro Centre nightly from July 1st to 8th; the show runs for two and a half hours, beginning at 7:30pm or 2:30pm for the matinee performances. Tickets range in price from $24.50 up to $80; there are discounts for seniors, students, and children.
