Halifax stylists attend skill building session

As the winter holiday party season approaches, Halifax stylists will be honing their skills when it comes to creating hairstyles for a special event.

Aveda Atlantic will be running its Formal Hair 101 skill building session, and it will provide six hours of learning. Michael MacDonald will serve as the instructor, and it will begin with the basics and work on from there.

The attendees will build on their knowledge of formal styles, and they can also develop their confidence. While the techniques taught may be simple, they can produce impressive results, and they may be suitable for weddings, proms, or just a fun night out. The skills learned can be adapted to various hair types and lengths, and the registration fee is $300.00. Everyone will also need to have a mannequin to work with.

Professionals in many fields may want to keep their skill set and knowledge base fresh and current, and participating in a workshop gives them a simple way to do so. Organizers can have custom certificates of completion, Copies of handouts and other personalized materials prepared for their activity by area Stationery printers.

Aveda Atlantic has teamed up with Maritime Beauty Supply Halifax to help Nova Scotia stylists up their game on November 24th. It will start at 10:00 am and wrap up at 4:00 pm, and seats can be reserved through its web listing.
