Halifax hosts first Dieticians Network of Nova Scotia conference

The Dieticians Network of Nova Scotia is set to host its first conference in Halifax, and this in-person gathering has a schedule that is packed with opportunities to learn, network and collaborate with others in the field.

The full day symposium is scheduled for Mount Saint Vincent University, and it will explore the changing face of the profession. It will be focused on its future in Nova Scotia, and a wide assortment of topics will be discussed.

The event will be made up of a variety of presentations that will cover topics ranging from local food systems to nutrition and neurodiversity, as well as innovations in long-term care and other subjects. During an interactive session, all of the delegates will be invited to give their own input in a “SWOT” style review of the profession in the province. Light refreshments will be served, and everyone will receive a voucher they can redeem for lunch on site.

A conference or symposium often provides a valuable learning opportunity for those who take part. Packages of information can be distributed to the attendees, which may include promotional Pens and other items created by local Print shops.

The first Dietitians Network of Nova Scotia Conference will welcome delegates starting at 8:30 am on February 18. The venue is located at 166 Bedford Highway, and the registration fee for the event starts at $75.00 each.
