This year’s harsh winter weather and heavy snowfall has resulted in a lot of extra work for city crews, as well as an extension of the overnight parking ban on city streets.
According to a spokesperson from the city, the ban is needed to help ensure that the road clearing equipment is able to get through and get rid of all the ice and snow on the streets.
It was also noted that the ban is in effect from 1am to 6am, and that those found parking near the curb during those hours can be fined $50.

The city crews are working to clear the snow, and an additional five loaders and graders have been rented to help with the job.
