For the first time ever, Video Games Live staged a production in Halifax.
The performance saw the music played by Symphony Nova Scotia, and featured melodies from popular arcade and video games, such as Tetris, Pong, Super Mario Brothers, Zelda, Final fantasy and many others.
It was combined with a high-tech light show, a costume contest, special stage effects, and even public participation, where a member of the audience was given an opportunity to play a game live on a large screen while the symphony played the accompanying music.
Along with the symphony, there was also a Guitar Hero challenge before the shows, where people competed to win the chance to go onstage and play.
Symphony Nova Scotia had originally scheduled one performance, but it proved to be so popular that two more were added. A printing company can create souvenir Posters for events such as this, as well as promotional Flyers and other advertisements.
According to the creator and producer of the show, Tommy Tallarico, he was happy that it appealed to so many, explaining that these shows often represent the first time that many of the kids who come out ever got see an orchestra perform. He also noted that it can encourage them to take up playing classical music for themselves.Get a Free Quote for Flyers Get a Free Quote for Posters
