For the past few years, the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic has hosted a nautical rope making workshop. These popular classes are returning this November, and there will be several sessions for those who are interested to choose from.
The workshops, which each have space for up to 20 learners, will teach members of the public how they can craft a seasonal wreath using rope, decorations and some simple tools. As they may be working on the knees, the registrants have been asked to bring along a foam pad to kneel on, and gardening gloves are also recommended.
A facilitator will guide the class through the process of crafting their wreaths, and the materials that will be used to craft the pieces will be provided. The completed projects can be hung or the front door, wall or other location, and may provide inspiration for Christmas gifts.
Anyone who is interested in taking the class is welcome to register now, and the fee is $25.75. Offering the students sheets that have the instructions to follow to craft their wreath will make it easier for them to make one at home should they wish to do so, and a Stationery printers will be able to help.
