The 5th annual Purple Day gala and silent auction will take place in Halifax next month. All proceeds will go to support the Epilepsy Association of Nova Scotia.
Guests, of course, are encouraged to wear something purple. Everyone who attends this annual gala will be treated to a cocktail reception and a sit-down dinner. There will also be plenty of opportunities for dancing later in the evening. Guests can also bid on items in the silent auction, take part in a 50/50 draw or participate in a photo shoot.
Purple Day is on March 26. It was first begun in 2008 and is now recognized in 70 countries throughout the world. Canada signed the Purple Day Act in 2012 which declared it an officially recognized event in the country.
Organizers will likely be advertising this event throughout the Halifax area, which often includes investing in services such as poster printing. Posters can then be distributed to various public facilities such as community centers and public libraries or displayed on bus shelters.
