Halifax area kids to get cooking

Cooking is a life skill that can be enjoyed by people of many ages, and a Halifax area class series will invite kids into the kitchen to learn this skill.

The Lower Sackville Superstore located on Sackville Drive has scheduled dates for its Summer Kids Cooking Camp. The camp is intended for kids from age 5 to 10, and it will be led by the store’s home dietician. It will take place in the venue’s upstairs community room, and there are three two-hour-long classes on the agenda.

During the sessions, the attendees will learn some basic cooking skills, and they have been designed so that they are appropriate to the age of the learners. Measuring, safe knife use and food handling, following a recipe, and shopping for ingredients will all be discussed.

Young people may really enjoy cooking and baking, and attending a class like this can help them to get started with a new hobby. Recipe Books and cards, as well as aprons, chef’s hats and many other items that may be needed for such an activity can be ordered from a local printing services company.

The Summer Kids Cooking Camp will take place on July 11th, 18th and 25th. The registration fee is $100 each, and no tax will be charged. There are other dates on offer this summer as well for older youth.
