Reporting workplace incidents correctly is one of duties of managers and safety personnel, and a short course will provide them with details of how to do so.
The Incident Reporting and Investigation workshop being offered by Winnipeg's Risk Professionally Managed (RPM) will cover the process to follow after a workplace incident has occurred. It will explore the topic in depth, including how to use the information collected to prevent further job site injuries or accidents.
The syllabus for the three-hour session has been designed so that when it is over, the participants will walk away with a greater understanding of incident reporting and investigation, as well as how to identify the pertinent legislation. There will be a discussion of how to identify the key players who implement policies and procedures, and the importance of all employees knowing their own roles and responsibilities will be covered.
The intended audience for this short course is supervisors, employers and workplace health and safety committee members, as well as internal safety leaders. Manuals and other texts for this type of event may be obtained from a local printing services company.
RPM has made arrangements to offer this in-person learning opportunity on November 12th at 25 Bunting Street. The registration system for the workshop is now accepting applications to participate, and all who feel it will be useful to them are encouraged to register.
