There are many ways to grow an herb garden, and one that follows a traditional design technique will be the focus of an event planned for Vancouver.
An online class hosted by VanDusen Botanical Garden will introduce the public to the art and science of growing a spiral herb garden, and pre-registration is required to participate. The class will discuss why a spiral garden allows an assortment of both hardy and tender herbs to be grown, and they will discover how it creates microclimates. The importance of adequate drainage and sun exposure will be on the agenda as well.
The host has explained that this style of bed is a great choice for small gardens, as well as community and school plantings, and they are often surprisingly easy to grow.
A recording of the activity will be accessible by the participants for a limited time so they can review what they have learned after the event. An activity like this may benefit from marketing materials produced by a poster printing company.
VanDusen Botanical Gardens has made plans to offer its Spiral Herb Gardens workshop on June 26th. It will begin at 10:00 am, and as a limited number of spaces are on offer, it has been advised that those who are interested register to secure their place now.
