Vancouver organizes community clean-up

When it comes to keeping Vancouver beautiful, everyone has a role to play, and it will be kicking off its schedule of volunteer clean ups with an activity organized for Beaconsfield Park.

The attendees at the Neighborhood Cleanup Kickoff will be giving the park some TLC, and this spring clean will run for two and half hours. The Park is located at 3215 Slocan Street, and everyone is encouraged to roll up their sleeves and lend a hand.

When they arrive at the Park, the volunteers are asked to look for the tent that will be on site just west of the venue’s playground, and here, the helpers can collect their equipment for the task at hand. This will include gloves, tongs or litter pickers and garbage Bags. Members of Vancouver's Green Infrastructure team will be leading an art activity and also providing detail about a new wetland that’s been created. Light refreshments will be served.

A community clean up or other service project often counts on the public’s generosity of spirit and willingness to get involved. A poster printing company can help get the word out to as many as possible.

Beaconsfield Park will be getting a spring clean with this event set for March 14th. It will open at 10:00 am, and anyone interested in joining the fun is welcome to register through its website.
