Vancouver to run for those in need

The Granville Island Turkey Trot is returning to Vancouver.

This annual event is dedicated to the theme of gratitude and the spirit of giving and giving back to the community. A company or organization can use banner printing to show their community support for a charitable event like this one.

This Thanksgiving event helps support the Greater Vancouver and Surrey food banks, as well as SHARE Family and Community Services. All of these organizations help members of communities in need. Runners are encouraged to make a donation to one of these not-for-profit organizations online, as food donations will not be accepted this year. Participants can attend the run in-person at Granville Island or are able to participate virtually in 10 km and 5 km runs.

Participants will all receive a race package, which includes a gift card to Rackets and Runners, as well as medals for those who wish to attend the in-person event. Runners can pick up their packages from Thursday, October 6 to Sunday, October 9th at Rackets and Runners. Runners will not be able to pick up their package at the day of the race.

The Granville Island Turkey Trot will take place on Monday, October 10th at Granville Island on Thanksgiving Day. The virtual event takes place between October 1st to October 15th. Participants can learn more about event registration and make a donation on the event’s official website.
