Gardens give people an opportunity to connect with nature and get their hands dirty, and an upcoming Vancouver information session will explore the options that are available for local green thumbs.
The West End Food Network will soon be hosting an activity that will introduce area amateur horticulturalists to a range of sites where they can get growing. During the 2023 Collaborative and Community Gardening Opportunities event, the public will discover how they can get involved with projects that will be undertaken at Kit, Strathcona, Grandview Woodland and other locations, and the garden Boxes that are set up at Robson Community Garden will also be in the mix.
Anyone who would like to get involved will be able to fill out an application form, and as the seed library will be open, area seed savers may find the activity to be of special interest.
Information sessions such as this one can sometimes make use of materials prepared by area Print shops. These companies will be able to supply everything from Letterheads and application Forms to handouts to distribute.
The 2023 Collaborative and Community Gardening Opportunities event will provide the chance for Vancouver green thumbs and gardening newbies alike to learn about the opportunities on offer to them locally on Sunday, February 19th. It will be held at the West End Community Centre.
