Vancouver goes to the dogs this August

The 2nd annual Pet-a-Palooza is taking place in Vancouver next month. This event attracted 12,000 people and 10,000 in its inaugural year.

This is just one of three Pet-a-Paloozas taking place this year, with Calgary and Victoria also hosting their own events.

There will be plenty of activities for people and their dogs to participate in. One of the main events is the ‘Running of the Bulls’, which is a series of French and English Bulldog races. There will also be performances from Dog Dogs Canada, agility demonstrations, and fly ball shows. When it gets too hot for everyone, there are ‘cool down’ stations and photo lounges to relax in.

Up to 85 pet-related vendors are also expected to be on hand. They will be selling accessories, food, and other merchandise, and no doubt many of them will be handing out free samples of treats, toys, and food. There will also likely be a number of local animal rescue organizations that will be providing information about their adoptable pets.

Vancouver Stationery printers sometimes help market events like this by providing eye-catching Posters and Flyers to be distributed in the area.

Pet-a-Palooza will take place in Yaletown on Mainland Street on August 23 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Admission is free. To learn more about this event, or to become a vendor, call 250-217-0799.
