Vancouver festival to explore Japanese culture

A free public festival is set to make its return to Vancouver this summer, and will give members of the public different ways to experience a variety of art, music and other aspects of Japanese culture.

Thousands of visitors are expected to attend the two-day Powell Street Festival, and music, food and other activities will be on the schedule. The celebration will have a Japanese theme and will feature sumo wrestling demonstrations and walking tours. Other activities will highlight the city’s history and traditions.

Many of the community’s businesses and organizations have signed up to be neighbourhood partners with this annual event, and their support has helped to make it one that many look forward to each year. Its website will include the most up-to-date schedule and other useful information, and the organizers recommend that anyone who is interested stop by the site to find out more.

To get people interested in new cultures and experiences, hosts of events such as this often use Promotional Products as an initial taste. Local Print shops can help craft these items as well as other materials to promote an event.

This festival that recognizes the contribution Vancouver’s Japanese community makes to the city will be taking place on August 1st and 2nd. The venue for the event can be found at 400 Powell Street.
