Vancouver will be issuing the birds that are making their way back to the city from their summer homes a warm welcome with the Greater Vancouver Bird Celebration.
The celebration will introduce the public to the more than 250 species that call the area home, and all ages and abilities are welcome. There will be in-person and virtual activities on offer, and options for everyone from newbies to experienced birders are on the list.
The two-week-long celebration will be focused on environmental advocacy through birding, and there will be visits to several local, natural sites. These will supply an opportunity for the attendees to get to know their fellow community for birders. Workshops are also on the calendar, and information about new additions to the line-up will be added to the agenda as it becomes available.
