The Chilliwack Sunflower Fest is a floral celebration giving the public a unique experience, and Vancouver residents may be able to access special transport to and from this event.
The Champlain Heights Community Centre will be ferrying older passengers to and from the sunflower festival. The venue can accommodate rollators, wheelchairs, and other mobility devices.
The passengers will board the bus which will whisk them to the festival, where they will be able to view and travel through 15 acres of blooming sunflowers. At least 42 cultivars will be included, and other display gardens will be open; these will feature more sunflowers as well as gladiolus. A stop for lunch will be made at the Mandarin Garden Buffet, which is included in the price of the ticket. The guide for the outing will be Simon Han, and anyone with questions can call 804-718-6575.
