The new Vaughan Hospital is one step closer to being ready to serve area residents.
The Vaughan Health Campus of Care (VHCC) and the city have been able to come to an agreement that will allow the construction of the facility to begin.
According to Michael DeGasperis, who is the VHCC Chairman, the group is very happy that an agreement has been struck and that the project can now go ahead. He also noted that they look forward to working with the city to provide a new space for the people of Vaughan to receive the healthcare they need.
Under the terms of the deal, land has now been made available that is needed to build the hospital, and there will be enough to allow it to expand in the future, should this be required. This allows the group overseeing the project, Mackenzie Health, to obtain the services of a consortium to finance, build and maintain the hospital. A printing company will be able to produce bound Copies of the plan for the public and other stakeholders who wish to find out more.
Along with the hospital, the plans include eventually developing 15 acres of land next to the facility to build a structure that could provide space for such facilities as a center for research and development, and a hospice or long-term care center.Get a Free Quote for Copies
