The 35th annual Vancouver Folk Music Festival will take place at Jericho Beach Park from July 13-15.
The folk music festival will feature traditional and contemporary folk and roots music from artists such as The Barr Brothers, The Johnny Clegg Band, Murray McLaughlin, Evalyn Perry, Leela Gilday and Holly Near. There will also be an Artisan Market, a Folk Bazaar, a Community Village and various food vendors. Vendors can rent a 10x10 space for $400 for the Artisan Market, $250 for the Folk Bazaar and $250 for the Community Village; they must provide their own tent. Food vendors can rent a 10x10 space for $400 or a 10x20 space for $800. Each area will be selling unique items; the Artisan Market will be selling handmade and one-of-a-kind works of art and Folk Bazaar will be offering handcrafted and fair trade items; the Community Village will feature community organizations and companies dedicated to green living and sustainability.
Sponsorships from $2,500 and $25,000 are also available. Sponsors will be mentioned in the program guide, in the event brochure and on supporters Banners attached to the stages. Printing companies in Vancouver will likely be providing the banner printing services and brochure printing services needed.
Tickets cost $150 for the weekend in advance or $165 at the gate, one day tickets are $75 or $80 at the gate and tickets for the Friday night concert are $45 or $50 at the gate; there are also student and youth tickets for a reduced rate.
