The Retro Design and Antiques Fair will take place at the Croatian Cultural Centre on June 24th from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm. Tickets are $5, although early-birds can have access to the fair from 7:00 am - 10:00 am for $20.
There are expected to be 175 tables and booths at the event which will feature items such as vintage jewelry, memorabilia, pottery and glass, painting, prints, antique Books, art deco and art nouveau treasures, and textiles. Visitors can bring in items to be appraised by professional appraiser Gale Pirie at the cost of $8 for one item or $20 for three items. There will also be food concessions available.
This event will be a good opportunity to view historical prints, Posters, and Postcards. There are many people who like to collect paper memorabilia and this event is bound to attract a lot of them to the Croatian Cultural Centre. Those who work for printing companies in the Vancouver area might be interested in seeing what is available and how the processes for many paper items have changed over the years.
Another popular interest is old photographs and there is sure to be a large number of photos to cater for this hobby, many of which will no doubt show how the area has changed since the last century.
