Course planned for Vancouvers fashion industry

A Vancouver design school wants to help the city take its fashion industry to the next level, and an upcoming class it has scheduled in its calendar for 2021 will help do just that.

The short course, which is billed as being like “rocket fuel” for a clothing designer, will address the ins and outs of launching a fashion line. It will be facilitated by Liza Deyrmenjian, an educator who has a lot of experience in the field.

The students in the class will first discover how to source fabrics in a global market. From there, the course will move on to marketing and merchandising, and planning a trade show is also on the agenda.

The registration fee is $795, and there are enough spaces for 12 students. This small class size will make sure everyone has a chance to learn and ask questions.

This event is being offered to the community by The Cut Fashion Design Academy, and it will run for seven weeks, taking place on the same day and time each week. Manuals, textbooks and other printed materials for an educational opportunity like this can be designed by a local printing services company.

Tickets for the “Launch Your Line” workshop series will go on sale on January 24th. The classes will take place at 1888 West 1st Avenue.
