Opening a small business can be a leap of faith and a Vancouver workshop series is set to help give those considering making the move the knowledge they need to find success.
The two-part series will be offered in a combination of in person and online classes, and will provide those who take part with some of the basic tools that may be helpful to them. It also includes access to the web based “Steps to Starting a Business” in BC course, and the syllabus will touch on several topics.
The attendees will be introduced to the resources that may be helpful to them during the start-up phase of their company. They will be walked through the business registration process as well as the basic steps of starting an establishment from the ground floor up. An introduction to the WorkSafeBC program is on the agenda, and tax compliance will round out the learning.
Offering those who are starting a company information and other resources may give them the confidence they need to find success. Bound textbooks and other learning materials for a class or workshop may be sourced from area Stationery printers.
This chance for future members of Vancouver’s small business community is set for November 8th and 15th. It will be held in person at the Small Business British Columbia offices and also online.
