Nature Vancouver hosts a variety of events that connect the public with the natural world, and it will have an activity on offer in early August.
Participants in the outing set for Yew Lake Trail will see birds engaging in an assortment of mid-summer activities, and there may be other wildlife to observe as well. The route does not change elevation at any point, and up to 15 attendees may take part.
The walk will be guided by Neill Vanhinsberg and Angela Hansen, and the walkers should be on the lookout for fledglings testing their wings, and also the mixed flocks feeding and getting ready for the upcoming migration. There will be wildflowers blooming as well as some early fruit, and the warmth of the day should bring out the butterflies. Everyone should dress for the weather and also wear comfortable shoes for walking, and binoculars are also highly recommended.
Walks and other outings give the public a chance to experience nature. Organizers can have basic field guides prepared in advance by a local brochure printing company to hand out so the participants will be able to identify any species they spot.
This visit to Yew Lake Trail in Vancouver‘s Cypress Provincial Park will take place on August 9th, and it will begin at 12:00 pm. Its listing includes a link to register as well as further details.
