Whether native or exotic, orchids have long been appreciated for their beauty, and a Vancouver event is set to offer a warm welcome to “orchidophiles” from across the province.
The Vancouver Orchid Society offers fans of these plants a chance to meet and learn from one another as well as subject matter experts, and it has set the date for its annual Show and Sale. The Cedar Room and Floral Hall at VanDusen Botanical Garden have been reserved for the occasion, and the excitement will kick off with a Preview Party Sale Night.
This volunteer-driven activity will offer workshops and other learning sessions, and proud plant growers can show off their pride and joy in one of the judged competitions. Other area orchid societies have been invited to take part, and there will be a vendor market with plants as well as pots and other supplies for sale. Both common and exotic species will be available, and anyone who would like get first choice of the specimens may want to attend the preview party and sale.
Horticultural shows may be enjoyed by plant overs and the general public alike. Award certificates, vendor contracts, sales sheets, order Forms and the custom-designed documents for an event can be ordered from area Stationery printers.
