Vancouver neighbourhood organizes summer festival

Vancouver is a city made up of eclectic neighbourhoods that each offer its own vibe, and the Mount Pleasant BIA explained that it is pleased to present a special event for both those who call the community home and visitors alike.

The Pleasant Day Festival will be a celebration of music, food and crafting talent, with activities included for all ages. It will take place on a weekend in early August, and admission will be free.

The organizers of the gathering have put together a line-up of live performances, and many of the neighbourhood's eateries and watering holes will have extended patios so everyone can sit back, relax and soak up the summer sun. Food trucks have been invited to park at various locations so that the public can sample what they have to offer, and a beer garden is in the works. The vendor market will bring some retail therapy, and it will run on Main Street from King Edward Avenue to 16th Avenue.

Outdoor festivals, block parties and other events hosted outside may call for weather resistant decor, and a banner printing company will be able to help. It can supply everything from booth decor to signage to Banners large enough to be towed behind a plane.

The Pleasant Day Festival will be bringing fun for all ages to Vancouver on August 9th. The party will run from 12:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
