Those who participate in a Vancouver workshop will find out how they can easily make incense for themselves in the comfort of their own home.
The Kitsilano Community Centre will be welcoming Village Vancouver’s Lori Snyder for a hands-on workshop that will show how to transform native wildflowers into pleasant-smelling incense cones. The venue’s seed library will also be open, and the attendees will be welcome to donate, swap or choose some free seeds to take home.
The learners at the Making Incense 101 / Flower Essences session will discover how to select which plants for their incense project, and tips will also be shared for using them in their home. The aromatic compounds of many plants can both sell pleasant and offer other benefits such as relaxation, which may help to support emotional health. The activity will begin at 6:30 pm and wrap up at 8:30 pm.
Organizing a workshop may involve choosing marketing materials to help get the word out to the community. These may be sourced from a local printing services company, along with items such as Flyers and Brochures.
The Kitsilano Community Centre will be offering this introduction to incense making on March 7th. It will begin at 6:30 pm at 2690 Larch Street in Vancouver, and anyone who is interested is welcome to register now.
